My vice...

"But, oh, how sweet is anger. When I'm angry, I'm not in the wrong. Somebody else is in the wrong, and for once I have peace. A delicious peace that gnows over the wrong like a lion with a ragged bone. It is delicious and compelling enough that it urges me to accumulate other wrongs and hold them greedily close. I love to be wronged; only then, for that brief moment, can I be sure I'm right. It is intoxicating in its sweetness, this brief joy in being right. It is good to be a victim, because victims are sinless..."

i'm not quite sure how to be excited for people when they tell me news about how they are going to move far, far away for who knows how long so that they can accomplish whatever it is they feel like they need to accomplish or complete whatever dream it is that they feel like they have. yes, maybe their dreams are coming true, but why do their dreams have to involve leaving me? if they loved me wouldn't their plans always want to include me? how could they even make plans that don't revolve around me?

obviously i'm being selfish, but i have a hard time with change. it's especially  hard for me to feel loved when the amount of time that someone is going to be around might be drastically reduced just so they can become what they should. i think i have a fear of abandonment or something...

and, joy, this is not directed at you, don't worry.

(end of selfish rant)

sometimes i wish that i was the girl on 50 First Dates and that i would wake up still remembering everything, but that someone will have prepared a movie for me to watch with lots of my worst, most hateful moments. maybe then i'd be a nicer person, a better mommy, a more loving wife, and a more full of jesus being. maybe.

i'm feeling angsty. yes, angsty.

on another note, check out this crazy health website (with an awesome name): emofree.com

Unlike other crazy health nuts, this guy's information is FREE. That makes me think he's NOT a quack. Plus, there's a dove in his logo.
